Long Itchington Cricket Club is bidding to bag a cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative which is supported by money raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores. Grants can be between £1,000 and £4,000.
Tesco raises money for local causes via carrier bag sales in Tesco stores. The cricket club has been successful in a recent bid to be a recipient of this money and is one of the groups on the shortlist. But it needs you to vote in order to “bag” a grant!
The aim of the Cricket Club is to refurbish the outdoor two lane net facility at the club’s ground which is used by up to 100 children and adults per week between April and August.
The cricket club is community non selective club that promotes individual and team skills and greater fitness levels for all ages but especially in youngsters. It provides a social environment with the focus on enjoyment.
In order to take part in the Tesco Bags of Help Initiative you can visit the Southam store from from 8 January through to the end of February. Customers cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop (please ask for a token if the assistant does not give you one when you pay for your shopping).
Please help support the Cricket Club and raise much needed funds.
