NHW is a national scheme. Its aim is to reduce crime in the locality where YOU live and help people to feel less afraid. In Long Itchington a new scheme was launched at the end of 2018.
If you would like to be a community contact for your street please contact the scheme at: longitchnhw@gmail.com
Warwickshire Police web site gives a wealth of help and information regarding local crime in specific geographical areas. Any concerns regarding on-going crime, nuisance, damage etc can be reported direct to the police by telephoning 101, by email or twitter.
The local safer neighbourhood team interact with the parishes and through forums priorities which are drawn up identifying specific areas the Police will concentrate on for the next few months. This can be anything from excessive speed to drug dealing.
For more information on Neighbourhood Watch contact the team, Seb Apostal, David Chinn, Simon Collyer, Charlotte Griffin or Martin Newman at: longitchnhw@gmail.com.
Our aim is to bring neighbours together to create strong, friendly, active communities where crime and anti-social behaviour are less likely to happen.
Our vision is that of a caring society that is focused on trust and respect in which people are safe from crime and enjoy a good quality of life. Neighbourhood Watch is about making sure that fewer people feel afraid, vulnerable or isolated in the place where they live.
