Planning Application underway for War Memorial

In 2017 the Parish Council agreed that a War Memorial should be sited on the Green on the land bounded by the Leamington Road, the bus shelter, the Beechcroft wall and the post box – see map for exact location.

The Memorial will commemorate the men from the Parish who gave their lives fighting for their country during the two world wars.

Over the last 18 months the Long Itchington War Memorial Group (WARMLI) has been raising funds, reaching a grand total in excess of £35,000.

The fundraising stage has now concluded and the next phase begins with the application for planning permission.
